Announcing a Special New Year’s Eve Ritual by Teleclass Dec 27

Kala

Aloha,

Here we are again – it’s December 26th (Pacific Time)- the day known as “Boxing Day” in Canada, England and several other countries. (I get a kick out of my U.S. friends who wonder what “Boxing Day” is!)

Just to let you know – I’m announcing a special
New Year’s Eve day ritual by teleclass…

But before I do, I just want to make a comment about today.

Many people relate Dec. 26th to sales and shopping in malls…

But did you know that in the countries where Boxing Day is celebrated, there is a tradition of remembering those in need and those who have provided a service throughout the year. more…

The Power of Gratitude Dec 15

The Power of Gratitude
by Al Diaz

Why would I want to be grateful for all of the junk that is going on in my Life? How can I be thankful for all of the uncomfortable things that are going on in my Life? What is there to appreciate when the stuff that is going on doesn’t feel good?

Better yet… how do you expect me to move forward or think positive when I am to some degree scared?

I have been through and lived every one of those questions at some time or another…

It has happened with relationships, money, health, mental and emotional roller coaster rides, and even near death experiences. But, years later I am still here hitting the keyboard for this article. more…

Walking The Hawaiian Path To Success Nov 28

Kala
In my mid-twenties, I was diagnosed with an incurable disease: ankylosing spondilitis. The doctors explained that it was degenerative, progressive and potentially fatal. After suffering with the symptoms of that disease for three long years I made a choice – I chose to cure myself. Within a year, three specialists could no longer find a trace of the disease in my body or bloodstream. I had cured myself.

My own life experience taught me that we create our reality from the inside out. It also taught me the power of directed attention. Little did I know that I had discovered one of the key principles of an ancient esoteric knowledge. . .Such was the journey that led me to search for the inner causes of outer events. more…

Forgiveness – A Return to Love Nov 11

KalaThe spirit of love, the aloha spirit, is embedded within the cultural and spiritual traditions of the Hawaiian islands and distinguishes them uniquely on the planet. One of the translations of aloha is “the joyful sharing of life-energy in the present.”

The Hawaiian masters were very aware of the significance of energy exchange. Knowing that the Universe works through a harmonious interaction of giving and receiving, they understood that the sharing of loving energy was a way to come into attunement with divine power. more…

Riding Waves of Positive Energy Oct 29

Kala

In Centering and the Art of Intimacy, Dr. Gay Hendricks puts forth a profound concept:

“After a certain point in evolution, it is necessary to use your body to flush out your higher intentions. We can only go so far with our minds, magnificent though they are. As our intentions become higher we have to learn to ride waves of positive energy inside ourselves. As positive energy polishes our inner body, we have to cooperate with it by finding ways to nurture and support its flow… more…

Motivation Is The Moving Force Oct 07

Kala

Through the Hawaiian Huna teachings you may be familiar with much information about what it takes to create your life the way you want it to be. However, you may not be making the time or the effort to change your old thoughts and habits, to plan and to carry through with action. In fact, you may be asking yourself, “Why aren’t I doing those things? I really want to do them.” more…

Loving Relationships Oct 03

Kala

When I think of the Huna perspective on how to have ongoing Loving Relationships, I am immediately reminded of the importance and power of “aloha.”

Aloha in the Hawaiian sense actually refers to “a sharing of joyful energy within the present moment.” In other words, it’s about being “happy with” yourself and others. And the degree to which you can do this is the degree that you are able to share love. more…

Valentine’s Day Oct 02

Kala

A couple of friends and I were having dinner together the other day. They both happen to be Irish, and though it’s months away, we somehow got round to discussing Valentine’s Day. Apparently V-Day is a big deal in Ireland and “ya better be getting’ a card on that day!”

I’d like to go off on a tangent around that subject… more…

The Paradox of Progress Oct 02

Kala

Here we are in the beautiful Fall Season. I do hope you were able to enjoy a stimulating summer filled with moments of awe and wonder.

Have you noticed a different sort of stimulation now?

I’ve noticed the change. Not a change toward the rest and appreciation that comes after a year’s harvest, but rather a drive to get back to the incessant push to “achieve.” more…
